Cookies Policy.

This Cookies Policy explains how PremiereCopilot uses cookies and similar technologies to recognize you when you visit our website or use our plugin. It tells you what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control our use of them.

1. Scope.

This policy applies to both our marketing website (premierecopilot.com) and our Adobe Premiere Pro plugin. It works alongside our Terms & Conditions.

2. What is a cookie?.

A cookie is a small file stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a website. Cookies allow the site to recognize your device, remember preferences, and understand how you interact with the service. We also use similar technologies , local storage, session storage, and SDK identifiers , that work the same way; we refer to all of them collectively as “cookies” below.

3. What we collect.

Usage analytics

We analyze which pages you visit, where you click, and how you scroll , to improve the website and the plugin. For this we use:

• Microsoft Clarity , generates anonymous heatmaps and session recordings so we can see how editors discover features.
• Google Analytics , tracks visitor sources and navigation paths in aggregate.
• PostHog, product analytics that record which features you use and key events inside the website and plugin. When you are signed in, these events are linked to your account (see “Product usage & account activity” below), so we can understand activation and improve the product.

Product data

Inside the plugin we may collect the prompts you send and the responses we generate, along with anonymous metadata (model used, duration, success/failure). This is used only for debugging and to improve our AI workflows. Your raw video footage is never collected , see our data section in the Terms.

Product usage & account activity

When you are signed in, we record how you interact with the product , for example whether you have installed the plugin, verified your account, or run a given tool , together with your account identifier and email. Unlike the aggregate website analytics above, this information is linked to you, not anonymous. We use it to (a) operate and secure your account, (b) provide support, and (c) send onboarding, service, and occasional product emails (see Marketing & onboarding emails below). The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating and improving the service; for marketing to existing users we also rely on the soft opt-in permitted under ePrivacy rules. You can object or unsubscribe at any time (see Your privacy rights).

Error reporting

When the plugin crashes or hits an error, an automatic log is sent so we can fix the issue. These logs are kept short-term and deleted once the issue is resolved.

Security & abuse prevention

To protect the Software and our infrastructure, we log technical data when we detect attempts to abuse the service — for example efforts to reverse-engineer the plugin, extract its prompts or models, bypass license or rate limits, or gain unauthorized access. This may include your account identifier, IP address, device information, request details, and timestamps. We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in securing our service and protecting our intellectual property, and we retain it only as long as needed for security, abuse prevention, and the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims. See the prohibited activities & enforcement section in the Terms.

4. Cookie types.

1. Essential. Required for the site or plugin to work (authentication, session, license check, security). These cannot be disabled.
2. Analytical / improvement. Help us understand how the product is used in aggregate (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity). You can opt out via the consent banner.
3. Functional. Remember your settings , language, theme (light / dark), recent prompts, plugin layout.

5. Third parties.

The third parties we use cookies (or equivalents) with:

• Stripe , payment processing, fraud prevention.
• Google Analytics 4 , visit analytics.
• Microsoft Clarity , anonymous heatmaps and session replays.
• Resend , transactional email delivery (account, receipts, replies).
• Brevo , delivery of onboarding and marketing emails, and unsubscribe management.
• PostHog , product analytics linked to your account (feature usage, activation, key events).
• Discord , only when you click a link to our server.
• AI providers (OpenAI, Google, RunwayML, Black Forest Labs, Fal.ai) , only invoked when you actively use a GenAI feature. Each provider has its own privacy policy.

6. Marketing & onboarding emails.

When you create an account or install the plugin, we may send you a short series of onboarding and product emails , for example tips to get started, or a note if we notice you have not yet run a tool. We send these through Brevo (our email provider), on the basis of our legitimate interest in helping new users get value from the product and, where required, the soft opt-in that applies to a provider’s own existing users under Article L.34-5 of the French Code des postes et des communications électroniques and the ePrivacy Directive.

You are in control at all times:

• Every marketing or onboarding email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
• You can object to all direct marketing at any time, with immediate effect, by emailing admin@premierecopilot.com (Article 21 GDPR). We action such requests without exception.
• Transactional emails (account confirmation, receipts, refund notices, support replies) are not marketing and are sent regardless of your marketing preferences, as they are necessary to provide the service.

7. Your controls.

You can control cookies in several ways:

• Use the cookie consent banner on the website to accept or refuse non-essential cookies.
• Configure your browser to block, restrict or delete cookies. Be aware that this may limit some features.
• For Google Analytics: install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• For the plugin: revoke any consent given during onboarding fromSettings → Privacy inside PremiereCopilot.

8. Your privacy rights.

If you are in the EEA, the UK, or a jurisdiction with similar law, you have the following rights over your personal data:

• Access (Art. 15 GDPR) , obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you, its source, the purposes and legal bases, and the recipients or processors it is shared with.
• Rectification (Art. 16) , correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure (Art. 17) , have your data deleted where we have no overriding legal obligation to keep it.
• Restriction (Art. 18) and portability (Art. 20).
• Objection (Art. 21) , object to processing based on our legitimate interest, and object to direct marketing at any time.
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting processing carried out beforehand.

To exercise any of these rights, email admin@premierecopilot.com. We respond within one month, as required by Article 12(3) GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority , in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr).

9. Retention.

Different cookies have different lifetimes:

• Session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your browser.
• Persistent cookies stay on your device until they expire or you delete them. Most analytic cookies expire within 13 months.
• Error logs and product data are deleted within 90 days of the issue being resolved.

10. No sale of data.

We do not sell your prompts or usage data to third parties. We do not run ads on the website or in the plugin. The product is paid for by you, not by your data.

11. Changes.

We may update this Cookies Policy when our tooling or practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the latest revision. Significant changes will be announced via email or the consent banner.
